More than One Way to Skin a Cat: Adventures in Creative Thinking
People have Problems…
How many times have you caught yourself saying that there could be no other solution to a problem – and that that #problem leads to a dead end? How many times have you felt stumped knowing that the problem laying before you is one you cannot solve. No leads. No options. No #solution.
No Solution in Sight
Does it feel like you had exhausted all possible options and yet are still before the mountain – large, unconquerable, and impregnable? When encountering such enormous problems, you may feel like you’re hammering against a steel mountain. The pressure of having to solve such a problem may be overwhelming.
But rejoice! There might be some hope yet!
Creative Problem Solving
With some creative problem solving techniques you may be able to look at your problem in a different light. And that light might just be the end of the tunnel that leads to possible solutions.
First of all, in the light of creative problem solving, you must be open-minded to the fact that there may be more than just one solution to the problem. And, you must be open to the fact that there may be solutions to problems you thought were unsolvable.
Now, with this optimistic mindset, we can try to be a little bit more creative for solutions.
Solving Problems Consciously…
So that you can learn though this experience, I will first point out what most people will do to solve a problem whenever you are working only from the #conscious side. I want to point out just how laborious and consuming this is. It takes on a life of its own.
Qualify Your Problem
First, maybe the reason we cannot solve our problems is that we have not really taken a hard look at what the problem is. Here, in a conscious way, understanding the problem and its workings is integral for solving the problem. This is a typical strategy most people use. If you know how it works, what the problem is, then you have a better foundation towards solving the problem.
Not yet making a simple statement of what problem is, identify the participating entities and what their relationships with one another are. Take note of the things you stand to gain any stand to lose from the current problem. Your potential gain or loss is a point of stress. It tends to block you from seeing the obvious. Keeping that in mind, you can develop a simple statement of what the problem is read more…
ZOX Pro Training has been teaching people how to use their photographic memory since 1975. The parent organization, Educom, Inc., has been teaching the Mental Photography techniques in Brain Management training since the beginning. We released ZOX Pro Training onto the Internet in 2008. People around the world have benefited that would have never had access to our training otherwise.
The Picture …
The Google.com search pictured above is a snapshot of ZOX Pro Training’s unique place in the industry of alternative learning. Our techniques accelerate learning to all new levels that most people find incredible, starting at 25,000 words per minute. The brain exercises taught within the training strengthen your brain, gaining clarity, and the way it functions naturally by way of what is now referred to as neural-plasticity.
This picture signifies recognition by the Internet, and portrays the quality Richard Welch, the “Father of Mental Photography”had envisioned 39 years earlier.
The Eidetic Memory …
People are often confused by the difference between the eidetic memory and the photographic memory (eidetic memory vs photographic memory). You are born with the eidetic memory. This is how you learn everything when you are very young till around the age of 5. When you are born, you are a genius; an information sponge absorbing information faster than light speed, naturally, and with ALL of your senses. The best thing is you never lose your eidetic memory and the abilities it gives you. Most people are taught out of using it fluently.
The first recorded use of the words “photographic memory” is 1924. But we also know there are plenty of people from history before that time that demonstrate these abilities. Why then do many psychologists find the term so easy to discredit? First, and probably most importantly, the word “photographic” only refers to the visual sense, while “eidetic” refers to ALL of your senses. How silly! Someone was not able to remember the technical term “eidetic memory” so they simply made up a word close to the same meaning – the “photographic memory”.
Since the amount of information your brain takes in from vision is over ten times that of all of your other senses combined, it could easily be used as a relevant exchange word. But the carryover to this day has missed the original meaning, which is relevant to all of your senses. So, now when the psychologists and brain researchers are looking for the people with photographic memory, they are looking at a flawed model of what it is meant to actually represent.
So, in more concise terms, the word “photographic memory” does not exist. We use the word photographic memory for our services because that is what the rest of the world is commonly using, albeit improperly. There are many scholars that study how words within languages have changed over time. Often times, a process like this creates a new word or usage.
Thanks!
We would like to thank you, the person that enjoys getting news on the further applications and developments of our trainings. We encourage every one of you to power-up your brain, and make it your best asset for your future.
“YOU are the only thing that is keeping YOU from achieving your goals.”
Some of you may wonder how you can prevent yourself from becoming wealthy when you do the best that you can. The simple fact is that when you were young, you had people instructing you on the ways of the world. Some of the things they told you were wrong.
Two Truisms as Examples
Money Corrupts
I would say that the LACK of money is what is corrupting minds of people and forcing them to act the way they do, for instance, feeling forced to commit crimes. But in truth, greed is what causes us to believe money is never enough. Remember, wealth comes in many forms. Be sure you choose the right form of wealth for you.
The harder you work, the further you get
If this were actually true, ditch diggers would be millionaires. But in truth, they could dig ditches until the cows come home but the only “further” they get is in getting more ditches dug. Still, some people think working hard is the road to wealth and success. But in truth, the key to success is not hard work but Smart Work. You need a strategy and a plan. Without setting your goal, no matter how hard you work, you will get nowhere. You need to visualize yourself achieving how far you will go. Set a detailed plan on how you can achieve your mission and what steps you need to make to get there.
Hint: Start your journey from within. If anything will sabotage you along the way it will be YOUR SUBCONSCIOUS! Only Brain Management can bypass your conscious mind.
Ah, speed reading! If you’re like most people, speed reading probably conjures up romantic imagery of being able to just whip right through all kinds of wonderful books and poems and blogs and other types of documents at record speed. You want to read as fast as possible so that you can get on with the life you want to live. Sounds GREAT, doesn’t it?.
But, of course, the dream of speed reading doesn’t really reach enough people who DESPERATELY NEED IT!
And this is no fault of their own!
Many people will do their very best to diligently follow instructions to get the most out of standard speed reading courses. However, try as they might, they never quite get the sensation that they can confidently read what they need to read in a short period of time. And most speed readers revert back to reading within 90 days.
And, in a certain sense, it’s not really the fault of the standard speed reading courses, either.
But, the truth of the matter is this: those traditional speed reading courses, just weren’t designed to be robust enough to help you get the very best out of speed reading…
Haven’t heard about it? Don’t worry! You will! And you’ll be glad you did! So, stay tuned to our blog as we share with you how the concept of ZOXing can help you with your speed reading and much, much, MUCH, much more!
If you want to get current on golf, all you need to do is Google “Tiger Woods”. The MAN has become a legendary icon already and he is not even breathing hard. There is so much information on the Internet about Tiger Woods, that it would be nearly impossible to know it all — or so most people would have you believe.
Your PC can give you a mountain of information in moments. But how do you expect take in all that information? What most people use is reading, or better yet, speed reading.
With the mountain of information you are faced with, both reading and speed reading just are not good enough. You need something faster, and more comprehensive, than either of those. You really need to use your photographic memory — the one you were born with.
You need ZOX Pro Training!
You see, that is just one of the things that ZOX Pro does for you. Mental Photography, that we invented 35 years ago (1975), engages your brain in extraordinary ways. It taps into your photographic memory, and gives you the ability to put information directly to your long term memory at the Speed of Light!
From now on you don’t need to be limited to the bottleneck on your information superhighway. You can move along at light speed.
You can even shave strokes off of your own golf game using ZOX Pro. As I mentioned earlier, it engages your brain in extraordinary ways.

Title: From A.D.H.D. to 8 Gold Medals
In a recent interview with the New York Times, Deborah Phelps, middle school principal and mother of Michael Phelps, the most medaled Olympian in history, remembers how her son’s elementary school teacher once told her, “Your son will never be able to focus on anything.”… When Michael was in 5th grade, his mother and family doctor discussed whether Michael might have A.D.H.D.…Deborah Phelps watched her son, who couldn’t sit still at school, wait patiently for hours at a meet to swim a five-minute race. At 11, Michael was off Ritalin by his own choice and his coach, Bob Bowman, was already predicting greatness….Today, the Phelps name is an adjective, as in “phelpsian,” meaning “dominating in competition.” A gift, most would agree, that requires laser-like focus.
My Comment: As a Seminar Instructor and teaching Mental Photography, I see many people that have ADD, ADHD, and Dyslexia. I think very highly when a person like Michael Phelps can learn to overcome this so-called deficit, and turn it into an incredible attribute.
A couple re-occurring themes that do seem to accompany ADD, ADHD, and Dyslexia is the ability for that person to have incredible ‘focus‘ on an objective, and they also tend to find school very boring. Many considerations to qualitatively monitor the environment where these individuals co-exist with everyone else should be a factor in any diagnosis.
Further Discussion:1 out 4 people have dyslexia. There are 7 different types of dyslexia. A dyslexic person can experience more than one type of dyslexia. This in turn complicates the diagnosis.
Since more than 50% of school students can be taught to read, the education system calls this a victory.
What if in that same school system, you score 50% on a test. That would most likely be graded as a failure. Why the change of heart? That approach sounds a bit hypocritical.
ADD and ADHD usually start from an observation, described as unruliness, disruptive behavior, disobedient, lack of concentration and initiative (initiative is sometimes the ideal of the teacher, or what the teacher would like to see.), and so on. The point being that many of these conditions are a qualitative observation, and not necessarily based on a set of parameters that can be gauged.
Environment plays a big part in what we react to and how we react. Environment also plays a
considerable, mostly unconsidered, part of the diagnosis. How can a Doctor that is going to prescribe drugs for a specific condition, such as ADD, do such an act without so much as to have visited the school or conducted an on site study, relying on input from persons that may, without intention, be biased read more...
